Thursday night: I went and saw Born into Brothels with Lara. I cried as I am sure everyone who sees the movie will. It was beautiful, sad and amazing.
Friday: I took the day off and worked in the backyard with Lara. She had been doing some all week and we really hit it hard on Friday. We grilled some Mahi-Mahi and veggied yummmmmmmmmmm. I had an uneventful night but that is not a bad thing fo sho.
Saturday: Morning started at 4:30 am. I cooked breakfast for Erin and went to the NS. I came back home at 2 and spent time with the Lala till she had to go to work. 10 pm I went to the show and had not just a good time but a damn good time. I got to see my friends, got to dance and then I went and met up with Lala so we could end our Lentin Sacrifices. Burgers mmmmmmmmmm.
Easter Sunday: Went to the NS planning to do nothing. I met up with my Mom
and we decided to cook some easter lunch. So we went to the store and grabbed some meat. We had both givin up meat for lunch so it was time to indulge in some dead cow and deer. We picked up my Uncle Harry and headed to my moms house. My Uncle Harry is a life-long NOLA resident and worked at Felix's on Bourbon St his entire career as a Oytster Shucker. He was diagnosed with MD as a teen ager but has never quit living or fighting. He is my favorite unlce without a doubt.
My moms yard was covered in azalias and her whole yard was purple. Pickles was there and I love to see that dog. She is crazy fun. Well we grilled
some steaks and back strap with mushrooms and cooked stuffed artichokes, baked potatoes and onion. It was an unexpected treat.
I got home at 4:30, just in time to give Lara her easter flowers before she had to go to work and then I slept the night away (sorry Cass) because I needed it.
